Funeral Costs Explained

Funeral costs are split into two categories – J Naylor Funeral Director fees and third party fees.

J Naylor’s fees include the following, and do not vary whether you choose a cremation service or burial service:

Removal of the deceased to our chapel of rest; care and preparation of the deceased; the use of our chapel of rest; the coffin; a hearse; the provision of all staff to arrange and conduct the funeral; a limousine or limousines to transport mourners.

Third party costs are fees that are out of our direct control that we pay on your behalf. These include:

Cremation fees; Grave fees; Doctor’s Fees (for cremation only); Minister or Church fees; Horse Drawn Hearse; Organist fees; Order of service; Flowers; and newspaper notices.

Third party fees will be collected at the time of the funeral arrangements.

Traditionally, a burial service has often been more expensive than a cremation service, but this really depends on whether you or your family already own a burial plot. Our experienced staff will talk you through all the options and provide a full written estimate without obligation.
